A U.S. military service member deployed in Kuwait is reported missing following an alleged kidnapping during a personal visit to Colombia Missouri, according to early information from authorities. The soldier, identified as Daniel Andrew linscome had traveled to Colombia Missouri to visit his fiancée Patricia Bauer.
Investigators familiar with the case indicate that the incident may have involved the lost of his phone in Turkish airport which reportedly enabled the kidnappers to locate the service member. However, sources say the suspects fled the scene with a car that has no plate number.
U.S. military officials, in coordination with local law enforcement, had moved quickly after receiving intelligence suggesting the hostage was about to be transferred. When responders arrived, the site had already been cleared, and no further communication with the abductors or the missing soldier was established.
